Bio

Marifer Sagastume is a PhD student in Human-Centered Design at Florida Tech. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and STEM Education as well as an MBA in Healthcare Management from Florida Tech. She is a very involved student and volunteers with the WeVenture Women's Business Center at Florida Tech and with Reinvented Magazine (the nation's first print magazine for women in STEM). Marifer has industry experience from her different roles at Medicomp, a local cardiac monitoring company and she is passionate about inspiring and mentoring young girls in careers in STEM.
